On October 12, 2023, the Yangtze River Delta (Wuxi) Electric Vehicle Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park was launched in Xishan District, Wuxi City.

China's electric vehicles look at Jiangsu, Jiangsu electric vehicles look at  Wuxi, and Wuxi electric vehicles look at Xishan. Xishan District of Wuxi City is one of the birthplaces of the domestic electric vehicle industry, and its electric vehicle and parts industry cluster has been selected as a national characteristic industrial cluster for small and medium-sized enterprises. Today, Xishan has 145 enterprises on the scale of electric vehicles, including 57 vehicle enterprises and 88 parts enterprises, with an annual output of more than 22 million vehicles, accounting for about one-third of the country's output, and an industrial cluster scale of more than 66 billion yuan. Six of the top 10 electric vehicle companies in the country gather in Xishan, including 2 listed companies. 

 Cross-border e-commerce is a new form of foreign trade with the fastest development, the greatest potential and the strongest driving effect, and it is also an important link connecting domestic and international "dual circulation". In recent years, the average growth rate of sales of electric vehicles and parts in Xishan has reached 35%, the growth rate of tax payment is 30%, and the growth rate of exports is 28%, and "Made in Xishan" has been sold to 140 countries and regions. Xishan Electric Vehicle actively integrates into the construction of the "Belt and Road", and has established production bases, marketing centers, direct stores and overseas warehouses in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Europe. This time, the official opening of the Yangtze River Delta (Wuxi) Electric Vehicle Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park is the specific practice of Xishan's in-depth implementation of Wuxi's "cross-border e-commerce + industrial belt" cultivation plan and the promotion of "one district, one product" cross-border e-commerce brand to go to sea, and also marks that Xishan's electric vehicle cross-border e-commerce industry has embarked on a new track of specialization and digitalization. 

In the future, the Yangtze River Delta (Wuxi) Electric Vehicle Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park will fully integrate and give full play to the advantages of Xishan's electric vehicle industry and the operation advantages of e-commerce cross-border platform, build a bridge between the government, industry and enterprises, accurately connect with overseas consumer demand, help enterprises grab orders and expand markets, continue to help foreign trade and empower the industry, and make every effort to promote the digital transformation of traditional foreign trade enterprises, and help more traditional foreign trade enterprises and electric vehicle enterprises to accelerate their going to sea and sail away with the help of cross-border e-commerce.

At the launching ceremony, Wuxi Intellectual Property Association, Xishan Electric Vehicle Foreign Trade Association and well-known electric vehicle brand enterprises jointly initiated the establishment of the "Wuxi Electric Vehicle Industry Intellectual Property Protection Alliance", and a number of industrial projects and enterprises settled in the park were the same.
